Aunt Jill’s Scones
Brew: 2 T. Yeast, ½ C. Warm Water and Dash of Sugar
Heat 1 qt. Buttermilk until lukewarm. Add 2 beaten Eggs.
6T. Oil
2 t. Salt. Set aside.
Place 8 cups Flour, ½ t. Soda and
3 t. Baking Powder in a bowl.
Make a hole in the middle of the flour mixture and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir well. The dough will be very, very sticky. Let it rise a little. Use lots of flour when rolling it out. The dough will keep for quite a few
weeks in the refrigerator.
